Sports photography tends to be under appreciated in the art world, as they think it is too easy or they believe the subject matter is boring. Sports photographers not only have to be technically skilled, but also understand the game being played, while being ready to capture that perfect moment before it disappears.
In this series I capture a moment in time that can now last forever, while also showcasing the player. Viewing a sport from the stands or sidelines limits your vision of the player. However, I have created a chance to connect a face with the jersey number you see from afar.
I challenge you to use this work to help make you aware and to go forth appreciating something as dynamic and aggressive in the art world.
