Wish You Were Here
Postcards help share where you are with others as well as make them want to travel there as well. Being originally from the East Side of Michigan, I found myself constantly asking others where I should go to take pictures and they were always the same.
I created this series by traveling without a destination, and once it had been 30 minutes, I would find a place to park where ever that may be and try to capture the beauty right where I was.
This allowed not only myself, but my viewers to see the beauty we overlook everyday. A beautiful place doesn't have to be an over populated tourist spot. It could be just a half an hour down the road.
I purposely did not include the destinations on the images to help imagine receiving this image as a post card and wanting to go, but not knowing where to go, then creating a passion to go and find their own place.
